In this way, they conserve part of this radiation (heat) to keep the Earth&#039;s average temperature stable and suitable for the existence of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ideal global average temperature is 15\u00baC. Without the action of greenhouse gases (GHG), this global average temperature would be approximately minus 18\u00baC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As we increase greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions through deforestation, burning fossil fuels, and forest fires, the absorption of radiation (heat) on the Earth&#039;s surface also increases.
