Initial reports indicated that the company's main sources of emissions were electricity consumption and road transportation in the logistics chain. With this information in hand, Atlas was able to prioritize actions with the greatest potential impact. This was the beginning of mitigation phase.

Carbon management ceased to be an isolated project and became a structural part of strategic planning.
